It was a first trip for many to Singapore’s Sports Hub ever since it had opened doors to the public and boy was it not only majestic, but an overall upgrade from the old Kallang National Stadium. I watched it get demolished and tore down, and slow built over the years and now I’m here again, BOOM.

Days before the friendly match for Brazil vs Japan, there were news circulating online criticizing the bad state of the pitch, but yet it was still opened to world class matches, crowds and games. No it did not deter me from watching the game, but it definitely did not leave one of the best impressions. I took a look at the photos I’ve captured, and the brown patches between the green spots and for the lack of a better word, they looked horrid. Nonetheless, the crowd roared and cheered each time when Neymar has the ball and scored. Sitting on the Brazil supporters end was quite an experience - A lot of celebratory shots, a lot of kids that were so into it, and a lot of supporters that made the whole occasion so much better. Of course, Rachel for watching the game with me.

Not the best seats in the house, but for SGD$44, the view we had was pretty stunning and worth it :) I just wished I brought my zoom lens, but then again it’d be hard to interchange between both so… Blessing in disguise for some pretty satsifactory portrait shots!

Next up… WTA finals tomorrow for Maria Sharapova’s game - So much more expensive so I hope it’s worth the hype!
