It's been a long while since I managed to find some alone time to sit at my desk, clean up my almost worn-out macbook, and try to write a summary on my life in 2012. I can't seem to put the happy and the sad together into words; These 12 months I have done a wide-array of things that some I am extremely thankful about, and the beautiful (sometimes sad) memories I have with my dearest family, friends and Juju.
My gym membership ended in October, which I already hardly found time for as compared to the enthusiasm which held up earlier in 2012. Something bit me hard after being a coach potato and badly sunk in work for the past few months. I reviewed my work-out tumblr which I used to document during my healthier gym-fit days, and I was appalled at how disciplined I was at juggling both school, work and gym together. I am now disgusted with my current self.
I logged into Nike+ after 4 months last night, downloaded new energy songs and went for a run around my neighborhood last night. It wasn't the best run, but I felt great, and most importantly, I felt free. So I went into blogilates by Cassey, and did a short Long, Lean Dancer's Legs Pilates Workout after the run. It was awesome. It was a feeling that no one can take it away from you. And that was what I needed - To ignite the flame that once burned so bright.
Feel free to share with me your gym regimes, daily routines or even healthy meals that I might start curating over 2013 :) And I'm thankful how this blog has given me endless opportunities to express myself over the past 3 years. It is often that people walk in and out of our lives, but it is definitely up to us to garner strength and change it for the better. ♥ Have a happy new year!
